A Day-To-Day-Guide To Spring Cleaning
A day-to-day guide to spring cleaning is something which you are either wanting to use, or wanting to learn about. You might be wondering why spring cleaning is such a widely known occurrence. Along with many other questions like why is there not a summer cleaning? Or even, why do we do a huge clean in spring? The answers are pretty simple, ones that you will have more than likely already thought of.
What is Spring Cleaning?
Spring cleaning is something that people have the urge to do when spring comes around. Yes, cleaning your whole home in a few days might not appeal to you, but it definitely does to some people. With the brighter, longer days approaching and the cold weather disappearing, it seems like the perfect time to prepare your home for the summer months. But how do we do it without it taking weeks off work?
How long should it take you?
Working out a time scale for your cleaning depends on how long you would personally like to spend cleaning. For some people, this could be 15 minutes a day to stay on top of the progress they have previously made. But, for others, they might want to spend hours and hours a day. So, instead of the traditional time scale guide which you tend to see, below is a list of what to clean and how often you should be doing it.
Daily Tasks
As you can see above, there are multiple tasks that could be completed daily to stay on top of your house to keep it clean. Although it seems like there is a lot there, you probably do most of them without even realizing it. Whether that be making your bed or emptying the bins. There are some larger tasks like vacuuming or cleaning and drying the dishes, but depending on how dirty your home is, you probably don’t need to do theses tasks every day.
Weekly Tasks
Similarly to daily, there might be tasks that you do daily or monthly instead of weekly, it is all personal preference. This is just a rough guide to give you an idea of what to do during your spring clean. The weekly column is the longest one as you can spread these tasks out over the week and allocate them to a specific day. This makes it easier to stay on top of these tasks but still allows you to have the time for other things.
Monthly Tasks
The monthly column is yet again just another example for you to get an idea of. These tend to be the bigger jobs that are not essential in everyday life. For example, unlike doing dirty dishes, things like cleaning the fireplace do not need to be done every day. They probably don’t even need to be done every month, it depends on how often you use it.
Overall on Spring Cleaning
This may take you longer than it would someone else, just like anything in life. Whether it is 15 minutes a day or 4 hours a day, it is completely up to you. Our ideas are just to show you what you could do when spring-cleaning.
